Gris Charnel Comparison Kit

Gris Charnel and its Extrait share a perfumer, Mathilde Bijaoui, and most of their DNA. Both open with the same cardamom, fig, and black tea, and both keep the powdery iris and bourbon vetiver at the heart. The difference lives almost entirely in what happens after that.

The EDP closes on a clean sandalwood and tonka base, calm and controlled all the way through. The Extrait adds smoky cistus to the heart, then layers vanilla, cedar, and patchouli into the base, pushing the whole thing darker, heavier, and noticeably more gourmand on the dry-down.

Same opening, same core, very different endings. A good one for figuring out how far you actually want it to go.

Gris Charnel EDP: the original. Cardamom, fig, and black tea over a powdery iris heart, closing clean on sandalwood and tonka.

Gris Charnel Extrait: the intensified sibling. Same opening and heart, deepened with cistus, then rebuilt into a darker, more gourmand vanilla and patchouli base.
